Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.

ABOUT HAYLEE DURAN, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I am Haylee Duran, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in providing therapeutic services for the past 12 years. I have been working with all ages providing individual, couples, group, and family therapy services, with extensive experience in in-home, and school and community-based services.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I went to school in San Diego for both my undergraduate and graduate programs. I went to University of California, San Diego where I received my Bachelors, then I graduated from San Diego State University with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Previously, I was a program director to several clinics where I spearheaded and created programs in schools to assist teachers, parents, families, and children in addressing emotional well-being issues. I have helped schools and communities with parent engagement, special education issues, school safety, and behavioral problems.

I have worked closely with police officers, probation, and first responders in addressing domestic violence, substance abuse, psychosis, homelessness, and suicidal and homicidal persons. I am a Emergency Responder and Public Safety Certified Clinician and Eye Movement Desensitization Response (EMDR) Therapist.

I have firsthand experience with working for Employee Assistance Programs to over 500 companies including fire-fighters, CHP, correctional officers and their families. I am a Certified Employee Assistant Professional.

I also have a background in theater, music, dance, and able to provide different modalities of therapy beyond just talk therapy.

I use Paubox for my emails with and for clients because they ensure HIPAA quality privacy encryption. I was lucky to be celebrated as their 5,001st customer; they reached out to me and donated $5,001 to the charity of my choice. I chose Tunnel to Towers because of my work with First Responders and in honor of my dad. Here’s the story…
